This full house remodel was a work of patience and love, as the owner and his family moved into his childhood northwest style mid-century modern home, built by his father in the 1970s. The owners wanted to preserve the father's legacy, but also wanted to update and modernize the house to suit their lifestyle and tastes, especially as avid entertainers. Walls were removed, rooms were enlarged, and the entire house was taken down to the studs to make room for the family of 5. The most remarkable changes were to the kitchen, entry, and living and dining rooms, as the spaces were opened up to each other and to the views in the backyard.
